Used Industrial Pallet Racking: How We Grade It

Each used part is checked against ANSI/RMI MH16.1, photographed and given a damage grade before it is offered. Near the coast we look especially hard at rust and base plate condition, since steel coming out of buildings near Galveston Bay, the Texas City and Freeport port areas, or open-sided sheds may have spent years in humid, salty air. We tell you which marks are cosmetic and which are structural, and anything that fails on structure goes to the scrap bin, not to a customer.

Can used racking go through engineering and permits?

Yes. As long as the parts can be identified, graded and rated, used rack can carry stamped drawings and pass plan review like new. We take care of engineering and permitting, so if your city or fire marshal asks for sealed drawings on high-piled storage, choosing used changes the price but not the process.

Do you deliver and install used rack, or do I pick it up?

Either works. You can collect it yourself, or we can deliver and install it with the same crews that put up new systems. Most buyers choose installation, because it keeps assembly, anchoring and accountability with one company.
